A loan of $3,900 helped a member to buy a new variety of rice (Tanzanian rice) and a new variety of beans.

Giramahoro Group's story

Emmanuel is a member of the Giramahoro group and lives in Bujumbura. He is 30 years old, his wife's name is Marie Goreth. They have two children together, 4 and 6 years old. The oldest one is in his third year of preschool. Emmanuel lives with his sister and his four sisters-in-law. He has been selling rice, beans and cooking pans for five years. This is his ninth loan from Turame. With the loan received from KIVA, he will increase his capital and buy a new variety of rice (Tanzanian rice), as well as a new variety of beans.
