A loan of $550 helped to buy clothes.

Nancy's story

Nancy is a person who has faced many adversities in her life. Since her husband abandoned her and her children Nancy’s has needed to generate sufficient income to cover, at least, her basic household expenses. Nancy is 37 years old and a single mother head of household in charge of two children who are 7 and 14 years old and who she’s always wanted to provide the best possible wellbeing for.

Nancy used to work in the streets collecting recyclables to earn income for herself and her children but one day she decided to open a business of her own selling clothes and since then it’s been her source of income to support her and her two children’s expenses.

Nancy has noted how her clientele has been increasing due to the good products and service she offers. Due to her increased sales, Nancy has seen how the business has gradually sold out all the merchandise it had so she now needs to buy more merchandise to have a business that’s well-stocked for her customers. However, Nancy does not have sufficient capital to buy this merchandise due in large part that the new school term has begun and she’s had to pay tuition for her children’s schooling so she’s hoping for a loan that will allow her to buy clothing like blouses, stockings and sweatshirts, among others, to have her business well-stocked to be able to respond to customers’ purchases.

Nancy’s dream is that the business grows and consolidates in the sector so that she can have various sales points and generate employment for needier people. Nancy wants her two children to have access to a quality education and in future be able to attain well-paid jobs so that they can open their own businesses or continue with their mother’s.
