A loan of $575 helped to buy food ingredients.

Pochita's story

Pochita, 37, is a courageous, determined woman who works hard and makes every effort to give her four minor children the best lifestyle she can. She lives in her own house with her common-law husband and children. Pochita sells food for a living, and works as a street vendor every day. She has been in business for four years and is very comfortable because it is going well; and she enjoys the fact that she can work without neglecting the family. With the income she receives she is able to help her husband cover household expenses. Now she has many projects in mind and wants to carry them all out, but for now she only hopes to continue working so she can contribute to the family economy. In the future she wants to establish a restaurant.

This is her fourth loan through MFP and she is content knowing she can count on this financial support and increase her working capital. She is committed to paying back the loan on time, as with the previous loans. She enjoys her communal bank because all the members are responsible and supportive. With the 1,500 PEN loan she plans to buy ingredients and supplies for her food business.
