A loan of $1,225 helped a member to purchase second-hand clothes for subsequent sale.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

'Mujeres Unidas' (United Women) is a group formed in the city of Concepción. They are hardworking and enterprising women, who are not afraid to work because they know that is the only way to succeed and help their families. The Fundación Paraguaya (Paraguayan Foundation) has been a great help, enabling them to continue to support their families.

Matilde sells second-hand clothes and says that her business is doing very well, as garment sales have been booming. Her desire is to continue to grow and therefore continue to help her family and contribute to the household.

She will invest this loan in the purchase of second-hand clothes, which allows her to continue her business. She is grateful to the foundation and to Kiva for the opportunity she has received.
