A loan of $1,100 helped to buy an industrial sewing machine that will allow her to provide a better service to her customers.

Claudia Lucia's story

Enterprising is the word that would best describe Claudia, a 23 year-old young woman who has been working independently for the last 9 months putting the finishing touches to clothes in the process of being manufactured.
Claudia used to work in a clothes workshop where her job was to carry out the last steps in the manufacturing process and finish off the items to get them ready for sale. She proposed to her immediate boss that she wanted to work independently and since then she has put together her own workshop where she receives the unfinished clothes from the workshop where she used to work so that she can finish them off. Thanks to this activity, Claudia can generate her own income and she helps her parents greatly with home expenses.
Claudia has currently increased her sales manifold, so that the machines she uses are now obsolete. For this reason, she needs to buy a new industrial sewing machine that will allow her to give her work a better quality and increase her customers’ satisfaction with her services. However, she does not have the necessary capital to buy this machine, so she is hoping that a loan will provide her with the opportunity to buy an industrial sewing machine so that she can produce better quality work.
Claudia hopes that this way she will get more contracts, as she will be providing a better service than before, and that with the extra income she receives she will be able to improve her parents’ quality of life.
Claudia dreams that her parents will be able to rest and not continue to suffer the financial difficulties they have had to face during their lives. This is why she improves their living standards every time she can.
