A loan of $300 helped to buy wood, beams, corn husk poles, bamboo poles, nails, and tiles, and to pay for labor.

María Silvia's story

María is 45 years old and the single mother of two children. Only one of her children is in her care and the other is already independent. She has done domestic work. Her family is very close, responsible, and honest. Her son will help her pay back the loan because he works.

The loan that María is requesting from Fundación Campo is to improve her home because it is made of adobe. It is a very modest house. She will buy wood, beams, corn husk poles, bamboo poles, nails, and tiles, and will pay for labor. In this way María will provide her family with a safer and more comfortable place, and for a longer time.

What she wants is to build her house of adobe or cinderblock, to buy pigs for fattening and sale, to buy cattle, and to set up a farm for breeding chickens to sell and for laying hens. She wants to achieve all this with the support of Fundación Campo and her family.
