Trancito María's story

Señora Trancito is a member of the communal bank "Cochapamba,' She lives in the Valle Parrish, also known as “San Bautista de El Valle,” which is located to the southeast of Cuenca, a place where corn is produced. Among its attractions are the Cochapamba Lagoon (full of bulrush). The people there are friendly, kind and they maintain the culture and traditions of their villages. They make their livings in businesses, raising animals and in agriculture.

Señora Trancito is 46 years old and married. With her husband, she had 4 children who are now grown. Two of them are married and live independently of their parents, and two of them study at the city university. Her husband works as a civil servant. They own the house they live in.

Doña Trancito has a fast food business. She works from Sunday to Sunday from 11:00 in the morning until 10:00 at night.

She is returning to the communal bank, and she will invest her loan in the purchase of supplies for her business.

Doña Trancito's goal is to fix up her house.
