Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's story

The committee "Mujeres trabajadoras" is another committee belonging to the program "Comité de Mujeres Rurales de la Fundación Paraguaya." It is made up of ten women. All are native to and live in the city of Curuguaty. Currently they are in their first loan cycle, and they are all learning the value of communication and working as a team. They receive training and advice and learn more how to save for the future.

Irma is one of the members of the group. She says that she has a small, well-stocked pantry with which she supplies the majority of her neighbors. She comments that she started with a small business, but thanks to work and sacrifice she has been able to come out ahead and grow along with her business. She asks for help from the foundation and from Kiva, in order to buy beverages, dairy products, edibles, and other necessary goods to supply her area. She is very happy for the opportunity that she is receiving.

In this group: Santa Lucia, Rufina , Cinthia , Elizabeth , Irma , Geronima , Celsa , Santa , Sonia , Sabina
