Moisson Plus Group's story

Adele is the chairwoman of the Community Bank named “Moisson Plus”, which means “Harvest” in English. The group is composed of 24 members united in solidarity to receive Kiva loans with the goal of developing their businesses.

Adele, 43, became a micro-entrepreneur in 2009. She manages her own general store in the east of Kinshasa. She works hard with good management skills in order to realize her dream of one day opening a large store in her area. Her business brings in $40 per week. She will increase her stock of merchandise with her next loan by purchasing soaps, cans, sacks of beans and sugar, and milk and reselling them at a profit. Adele is married and the mother of five children whose ages vary between 4 and 15 years old. Four of them attend school.
