Mauwa is a married woman with seven children, five of whom attend school while two have completed school. Her husband is a businessman who contributes to the provision of the family's basic needs. She owns a house with neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for her family.
Mauwa has operated a food stall for the past six years; her potential clients are her neighbors and friends. She faces a major challenge of customers not paying their debts on time. She dreams of expanding her business.
With the Kshs 45,000 she wants to purchase more stock of cooking oil, sugar, rice and beans for her food stall. She decided to join Yehu to access capital to expand her business.
