A loan of $750 helped to raise and sell sheep and calves.

Miguel's story

Miguel is 65 years old and a native of an area that is rich in natural beauty with spectacular countryside, where the people very warm and friendly, and where the dress and the language of the Mazahua culture are common. Miguel has been buying sheep and calves for more than 15 years, and he says that things are going very well with the calf sales and especially in December during Christmas celebrations. He says that in the cold months he has to be very careful with his animals because they get sick due to the heavy frosts that befall the area. Miguel says that the loan will help him since thanks to this he can buy another 2 calves, and he will increase his income a little more. With this he will be able to have a nice New Year’s dinner and invite his children and grandchildren, who are his joy, to his home. One of his business goals is to increase the number of animals to be able to sell them in other parts of the state and to move as he sees fit. He says that, thanks to the funding, his business has grown little by little since previously he didn’t have animals to sell.
