A loan of $375 helped to buy supplies and provide maintenance for his banana plantation.

Rooswelt Francisco's story

Rooswelt, 61, lives in the community of Goyena located on the outskirts of León. He is a farmer and has ten children. He started his business when he was very young and learned it through tradition. When he was 14 he began working in agriculture, especially growing corn. He sells his produce at the municipal market.

He is requesting a loan to buy supplies and provide maintenance for his banana plantation. He wants to produce a quality product and achieve a good harvest. His goals include growing "chiltoma" (sweet pepper), Jamacia tomato and pumpkin. This is to diversify the crop business he has put so much hard work into in his effort to get ahead.
