Karim's story

Karim, who is 32 years old, is an industrious and hardworking woman. She is also very kind and social. She is married to Grober, who works in transpiration, and is the father of their two daughters who are 8 and 2 years old. They live together in their parents' house, along with their mom, sister, and niece. Karim sells ladies' shoes as well as women's and men's clothing and beauty products. All of these products are acquired through catalogs, and they are sold to relatives, neighbors, and friends. She assists them in a cordial and kind manner, earning her place. In this way, they recommend her to other people, who after one time become her regular customers as well. She has more than one year of experience in this business. Her husband is the one who supports her the most, getting new clients. She likes her business because it provides economic support and allows her to have an occupation. She feels like a productive person and she has the desire to turn herself into a prosperous business-woman. She thinks that her business is fairly profitable because of the good earnings that it gives her, so she wants to increase her stock of products so that she will grow her business. This will be her 2nd loan with the MFP institution. She is very happy to know that she will have financial support, so that she will therefore feel secure to advance with her business. At the same time, she is pleased with her communal bank, a group that she thinks is tight and supportive. With the total that she has asked for, 1500 nuevos soles, she will buy a large amount of merchandise including shoes, clothes, and cosmetics so as to have an available stock to sell. She hopes to get them at lower prices for buying them in larger volume.
