A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a home outright for herself.

Luisa's story

Luisa lives in the area of Alto San Antonio which is located twenty minutes from the center of the city. Her husband's name is Constantino and they have three children together. One of their children is an adult and the other two are school aged. Luisa is very hard working and makes a living selling beer at wholesale. For big festivals and parties she sometimes sells up to 500 boxes. Her husband is working as a miner for a mining company that is in the city of Potosí.

Luisa has taken out other loans in the past three years and during this time has proven that she is a punctual lender. Until now she has only taken out group loans, as a part of her group "Claveles" [Carnations]. Now she is requesting an individual loan to be able to buy a home outright in the same area where she is currently living. She has been living in a house owned by her uncle, who lives in the country. She hopes to be able to finish gathering enough money to be able to buy her own home.
