Ludmila's story

Ludmila is a farmer from the Vodyanoye village. She is involved in agriculture by growing early vegetables in greenhouses. She is married and, together with her husband, is raising a son and a daughter. Ludmila has three large greenhouses and two more for seedlings. She has 70,000 hryvnia invested in her business. Ludmila has been involved in farming for 20 years. Her annual expenses for seeds and plastic amount to 25,000 hryvnia. Ludmila plans to invest this Kiva loan in the sum of 12,000 hryvnia to purchase plastic for 5,000 hryvnia, seeds for sowing for 3,000 hryvnia, and also to remodel the heating system in the seedlings greenhouses (4,000 hryvnia). Ludmila plans to use the resulting profit to improve her home, rebuild a temporary structure and build a garage.
