A loan of $675 helped to buy a sewing machine for her tailoring workshop.

Edilia Del Socorro's story

Edilia del Socorro has been described by her family, friends and customers as a hard worker that is always working to succeed. Edilia del Socorro started her tailoring workshop with her husband approximately six years ago and thanks to this business has sufficient income to cover the household expenses, where she lives with her husband and her son. Previously Edilia del Socorro worked in a tailoring business and her husband was a tailor; so one day they decided to open their own tailor workshop, offer tailoring service to others and also start their own line. Edilia de Socorro always wanted to offer work to people in most need, so she also wanted her business to strengthen and grow so she could hire more and more people. Edilia de Socorro and her husband are people who are interested in the well-being of others, and thanks to this their business has earned a good reputation in the local industry, as well as selling good quality products, they are known for being a place where the employees can build a better future.

Edilia del Socorro has always wanted to do every step of the process in her workshop, however, for lack of a particular sewing machine, this has not been possible and she has had to contract part of the work out to a different tailor. Edilia del Socorro aspires to buy this sewing machine, and to be able to provide another job to a person in need of income. It is for this reason that she hopes to get the loan, to be able to buy the sewing machine and continue impacting and improving the quality of life for other people.
