A loan of $1,100 helped to make structural improvements to her dressmaking workshop, since there are many people working in a very small space.

Nohemy's story

Nohemy has been recognized in her area as being a person who has always wished to bring wellbeing to the other people with whom she associates. For that reason Nohemy has created a dressmaking workshop for others, and managed to make it grow to the point at which she had to hire a great number of single mothers who are heads of families. Nohemy has always been interested in impacting the lives of other people and thanks to her workshop she has successfully improved the quality of life for a good number of them. The residents in her area consider her to be a person who has always looked for a way to help others, and thanks to her, they say that today they may enjoy work that allows them to receive a salary which covers household expenses.

Nohemy, with her 56 years of age and a husband who has always supported her, wants her dressmaking workshop to grow continually in order to hire more persons who are very much in need of a salary, and so more and more contracts keep arriving from her customers. Currently Nohemy's workshop requires larger areas since the people who work there are often uncomfortable because of the lack of space. Therefore Nohemy must make structural improvements to her location but currently does not have sufficient capital to do it since she made large donations during the end-of-the-year season.

Nohemy aspires to receive a loan that will allow her to carry out said structural improvements, in order that her employees will have a workplace which is more comfortable than the current one.
