Sophan, age 25, is a garment worker. Her husband is a taxi driver who transports garment workers to work via a tricycle vehicle to the factory where they work. Since her husband's vehicle is broken down, Sophan is requesting a loan of USD 500 to pay for vehicle repairs. with the repairs completed, her husband's transportation service will run smoothly and attract more customers.
In the future, she would like to purchase a truck, which would allow her husband more effectively to carry garment workers to the factory and to generate more income for the family. In addition, she plans to make repairs to the family house and to support her children's education.
Sophan resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
