Gladys's story

Gladys is a mother of two children aged two and one years old. She has been in farming for the past four years. Her farm produces milk, maize, beans and vegetables for the local market in Kitale, Western Kenya. Gladys runs her farm with the help of one farmhand. Her farm is her sole source of income.

Glady has requested a loan of 30,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to help her buy poultry to expand into poultry farming. She hopes to make better returns from the business and use the profits to expand her dairy farming in the future. She believes she will be able to cope with the challenge of diseases which is rampant in poultry farming.
