A loan of $4,575 helped a member to buy miscellaneous products like clothes, shoes, cosmetics, etc.

Genesis 1, 2 &3 Group's story

Luisa is one of the members of the Genesis 1, 2 & 3. The members are micro-entrepreneurs who sell clothing, shoes, fruits, vegetables, crafts and bread. Some members also have businesses such as a beauty salon or a grocery store. The businesses are located mainly in the city of El Seybo, a farming community in the northeast of the country.

Luisa makes her home in a simple structure with her two children. She tells us that her most difficult challenge is to raise her children and educate them, even while she is working and taking income home. Her children are attending school while she is walking around in different communities selling her products. She enjoys being at her home. She sells miscellaneous products like clothes, shoes, underwear and cosmetics. This loan, her 5th, will be used to buy more of these items to sell.

Luisa has repaid her previous four loans satisfactorily and is taking an important step towards her business’s growth. At the beginning she thought this loan could be good for capital, and now she loves the program and likes to share with all the members. She will continue using her business profits to cover her family's expenses and to reinvest in her business. She thanks all of you for your support.
