A loan of $1,500 helped a member to purchase lingerie and beauty products to sell.

Monarca Group's story

Monarca is a really good microfinance group comprised of 6 very hardworking women who have one goal in common: to help their families get ahead. They called themselves the Monarca Group in honor of the monarch butterfly because they identify themselves with the butterfly, since they have to fight against all odds in order to reach a goal or a dream.

Reyna is one of the group members. She is a hardworking 42-year-old woman who lives happily with her husband and children in Monterrey. She decided to start selling lingerie and beauty products in order to help her husband cover their children's educational expenses, since her children are the most important thing in the world to her, and she wants to see them succeed.

With this loan, Reyna will continue to acquire more lingerie and beauty products because in addition to liking her business, she wants to work hard to be able to progress little by little, as she has been doing so far, thus she and her family will be able to obtain a better quality of life.

In this group: Elisa Guadalupe, Griselda Yamilet, Ma Guadalupe, Maria Elena, Reyna, Urania Rocio
