A loan of $1,225 helped a member to buy piglets and chicks, and to buy nutritionally balanced feed for them and other supplies.

Cristo Rey Group's story

Ten women from the city of Curuguaty have come together with the desire to work together, and through this work help each other. They are currently in their first loan cycle with the Enterprising Women Program of the Fundación Paraguaya. One of the women is Maria, who has a business raising animals such as pigs and hens. She comments that she works every day caring for her animals and raising them. This work demands a lot of effort and sacrifice. Her goal is to have a big farm where she could have a lot of animals to raise. She is requesting a loan to buy piglets and chicks, and to buy nutritionally balanced feed for them and other supplies that she needs to use in raising the animals.
