Aigul's story

Aigul was born in the Kyzyl-Tuu village in the family of shepherds. All of her childhood was closely tied with breeding livestock because her parents were involved in taking 500-600 small livestock to pasture during the season. After finishing salespeople training in the capital, Aigul began to work as a salesperson at a store. She got married in 2009 and, together with her husband, Batyr, returned to her native village in 2010. During the initial years after the move, Aigul's family experienced difficulties, as they were unable to expand their business and get a job, but, with time, they leased a hectare of land and started to grow potatoes. Then, to expand her business, Aigul became involved in animal husbandry by buying a cow and selling milk. The profit from the sales amount to about 4,500 som (KGS) today. In order to further expand her business, Aigul requested a loan in the sum of 50,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase a cow and fodder. She plans to invest the profits into increasing livestock headcount and to start a large farm in the future.
