Marie is one of the members of the Group El Sol 1, 2 & 3 (The Sun), they are located in the city of San Pedro de Macoris. This group is located in one of the rural areas called "batey", populated by Haitian immigrants who came to the country to work in the sugar field plantations. Most of the members in this group are Haitian citizens.

Marie has a cafeteria where she sells juices, sandwiches and snack foods. With this loan, she is planning to invest in her inventory and have more products to meet demand. Marie is very excited to receive her first loan from Esperanza International and proud to be part of this group together with others members to do business and to change their life.

Marie enjoys being at home with her four children; she is a single mother. She has being doing business specially because she need to help her children and provide for her family. She thanks all of you for your support!
