A loan of $400 helped to buy corn, cheese, oil, firewood and condiments.

Ana Julia's story

Ana lives with her three children and her husband. She runs a ‘pupusa’ [grilled stuffed corn cakes] shop that arose out of her own initiative. She only works afternoons and has experience in the business since she’s been making pupusas for several years.

She is currently asking for a loan to buy corn, cheese, oil, firewood and condiments which are the main supplies needed to make pupusas. This loan will give her more security to generate sales since she will have all the necessary materials to make pupusas on hand.

Ana’s objective is to have a larger business that will also offer her family better conditions and more economic stability.
