A loan of $1,550 helped a member to buy beer, wine, soda, etc.

Las Amazonas Group's story

The 'Amazonas' group has 11 female members who are from the city of Caacupé. They are all heads of household who work so that they can provide their families with all the comforts they can and thereby avoid them having to suffer hardship. With this in mind, they joined Fundación Paraguaya's 'Entrepreneurial Women' program and they are currently in their second cycle of the program.

One of these self-sacrificing women is Ramona who tells us that her business is selling all kinds of drinks. She has a small business which she has been able to keep going through a lot of hard work and sacrifice. She tells us that she has very good sales and this helps her to provide for her household and her family. She would like to continue investing in her business.

Ramona is requesting this loan to buy beer, wine, soda, and other products with which to stock her business. This will enable her to have more stock to offer her customers.

In this group: Ramona, Zulma, Noelia, Mirian, Cristina, Agustina, Marilina, Cristina, Claudia, Maria, Ceferina
