A loan of $800 helped to stock the business with grocery products, basic grains, dairy products, and soft drinks.

Santos's story

Santos, age 34, has been married for ten years. He has two children, ages nine and two. One of them goes to school. He lives in the village of San Juan de la Lima, Cortes.

Four years ago Santos established a store where he sells grocery products like basic grains such as beans, rice, dairy products, meat, oil, medicine, and soft drinks, etc. He started this business selling meat and condiments. However, his customers requested other products, and he stocked them with his own funds. His wife helps him take care of his customers every day.

This is the first loan that he has requested. It is to better stock the business with grocery products, basic grains, dairy products, soft drinks, and others. His goal is to keep his business stocked in order to increase sales. He will use the income to expand his house to better place his business and to come to have a small grocery store.
