A loan of $1,125 helped to buy cocoa plants.

Jesusa's story

Jesusa is 54 years old. She is a happy and hardworking woman. She lives in her own house with her husband for 37 years, Hugo, and from the fruit of that love was conceived a daughter, Ruth who is 20 years old and she wants to provide her with a better quality of life.

Jesusa works hard in the field with her husband, and they have cultivated crops that are well cared for, and their crops are bought quickly on sales days.

Her main source of income is the sale of cocoa, and she has a total of about 9 acres of land. The fruit of her plants are sold in the city of San Francisco and during harvest time they contract laborers and in this way they can advance quickly while harvesting the fruit.

She has been doing this work for 45 years and she considers the most difficult thing about it is to keep the pests away from her crops that attack without pity the first shoots of her crops. This is why she is asking for a loan to buy insecticides to fight the pests. Over time, she wants to procure new land in order to increase her crops.

This will be her 6th loan through MFP. She has been very punctual in her previous loans and she works without causing problems in the communal bank.

With the 3,000 soles she will buy cocoa plants to grow on her land.
