A loan of $600 helped to buy supplies like flour, cheese, and eggs in greater quantities for cash.

Zoila Rosa's story

Zoila, age 24, was raised by her mother with much responsibility and the moral values that have defined her life. Upon becoming motherless she saw how her mother got them ahead and led her to obtain her degree in mathematics.

Zoila married her fiancé in the year 2009. He has a degree in languages, and they work through professional contracts at educational institutions. They are also the owners of a bakery in the southwestern part of the city of Barranquilla. They created this business to enhance their income and to plan their future with greater success.

Zoila is currently planning to get a Kiva loan. She will use the loan to buy raw materials and supplies like flour, cheese and eggs. She will buy in greater quantities and for cash. She plans to increase her working capital and to get discounts for the terms of her purchases. She imagines that the investment will be very successful because they know their business very well. They enjoy the recognition and affection of their customers in the surrounding areas. Generally speaking there are stores in the different neighborhoods of the sector.
