A loan of $2,150 helped to purchase livestock and forage.

Tamarakhan's story

Tamarakhan is 61 years old, and divorced. Tamarakhan worked as an accountant at the local collective farm, and is now retired. In 1981, in search of an additional source of income for her family, Tamarakhan started her own business in animal husbandry with a starting capital of 10,000 somi (KGS). Thanks to hard work and perseverance, Tamarakhan's farm now brings in about 5,000 somi per month. To increase her quantity of livestock, Tamarakhan has come to Bitushum & Partners for a loan of 100,000 somi (KGS) to purchase more livestock and forage. This will enable her to expand her farm and increase the quantity of livestock, thus making it, in her view, the best capital investment.
