Saida Patricia's story

Saida is a member of the "Las Cuencanitas" communal bank. She lives in the Eucaliptos area of the city of Cuenca. Cuenca is known as Santa Ana de los Cuatro Rios, and in December 1999, was designated as the Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Its people maintain the culture and traditions of their peoples.

Saida is 38, divorced, and has an 18 year-old son who goes to a high school in the city. The house where she lives belongs to her.

Saida is a seamstress by trade,, and carries on this activity in her free time from her home. She has been employed by a private company for seven months.

She is in her third loan with the communal bank, and is going to use it to buy materials for her business, such as fabric and thread.

Her goal is to have a vehicle.
