Henry Richard's story

Henry is 23 years old and he lives in a common-law marriage, from which he has one child. Henry was born in the city of Puerto Maldonado but he now lives in Cusco, where he carries out his economic activities. Henry works in the bus station of the city of Cusco in one of the travel agencies in the area of the ticket booths. He has been working there for the past five years and it is going well. Henry and his wife have a small family business selling candy, cakes, coffee, juices and mate. This time Henry needs a loan to buy products such as cakes, sugar, flour, sodas and other items.

The communal bank "Nueva Esperanza" consists of responsible, hard-working people who help their families get ahead. The majority of its members live in the city of Cusco, where they carry out their economic activities. Cusco is renowned for being a tourist and commercial area, for its traditional celebration of Inti Raymi and because it is located near to one of the seven wonders of the world "Machupicchu".
