A loan of $375 helped to pay for part of the purchase of her home.

Marina's story

Forty-two-year-old Marina lives with 27-year-old Jorge. They have three children whom they live with in a rented home. Marina is very nervous because soon they will buy their own home. She sells clothing for a living; generally she sells at fairs in either her city or neighboring cities. Since she started this business, her partner was the one who supported her the most and sometimes he and she go different fairs to sell all of their merchandise. Thus, together they are working on a deposit for their home, so that their young children will have a better life. They have now saved a small amount of capital they will use to buy their home, but they still don't have enough to cover the price of the house. That's why they decided to take out a loan with MFP. This will be their first loan and Marina is committed to making her payments on time. The 1,000 nuevos soles will cover the rest of the payment to purchase their home.
