A loan of $375 helped to pay for his daughter's education.

Antonio's story

Antonio, 60, is widowed but has six children. He only lives with one of them in his house, located in the district of Pichari. Antonio is a hard worker, and has been growing cocoa for 40 years. He says that anything can be achieved in life with effort and dedication. He has had his downfalls but has been able to get over them and learn something from them.

He is now taking care of his daughter. She is going to school, so he needs to keep working to pay for her education. Right now, he is on holiday, so he has more time to spend with her. They work together in the farm. Antonio is proud to have achieved almost everything he set to do in life. By making a lot of sacrifices, he was able to educate his other children.

Besides farming, he runs a grocery store which has been generating a good amount of income. This will be his second loan with MFP, so he commits to meet his installment payments on time. He will invest the 1000 nuevos soles in his daughter's education.
