A loan of $1,950 helped a member to buy cooking oil, spices, etc for her husband's snack making and selling business.

Maqboolan's Group's story

Maqboolan has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for her husband’s snacks selling business.
With the loan investment, he will buy snack making ingredients such as cooking oil, spices, etc in larger quantity that will allow him to make better quality snacks and increase his sales and profits.
Maqboolan is hopeful that an investment will help her husband earn more profits from his business by utilizing the loan in positive way.
Maqboolan herself is also a working lady and she operates a grocery store at her home through which she offers grocery items to her clients for low rates.
In her spare time she also sews clothes for her neighboring clients and earns a reasonable amount of income.
She is the mother of four sons and a daughter. All of her children are enrolled in local schools and are getting their education.
She is hopeful that her children will be able to continue their education as a result of her husband’s better business conditions after receiving the loan investment.
