A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase clothing for her business.

Semilina's story

Semilina is a member of the Urubamba communal bank. She is 44 years old, and has a clothing store in Huaytará. She is a single mother with one daughter, and has worked with Finca Peru for 8 years. She started out with little capital and gradually her business has grown. It isn’t easy being a single mother, but Semilina has managed to get ahead with her daughter. Finca’s training has helped her to raise her daughter well, and has also helped her with her business. The training has taught her to be punctual and responsible. Semilina will use the loan to invest in purchasing clothing for her business. Her wish is that she can finish building her home in Huascahura.
