A loan of $1,100 helped a member expand a fruit-selling business.

Samina's Group's story

My name is Samina K.. I reside in Kot Radha Kishan with my husband and eight children: two boys and six girls. Both boys and four of the girls attend school, whereas the younger two are small. My husband sells fruit on his fruit cart in a nearby busy market. There are three other women in my loan group: Sakina B. sells cloth, Nasreen B. sells various electronics on installments, Sughran B. runs a cosmetics store.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In this group: Samina, Sakina, Nasreen, Sughran
