A loan of $875 helped to purchase sweets in bulk at a better price.

Angela Fernanda's story

Ángela is a 29 year old single woman. Since the death of her mother she has been on her own and lives in the Eloy Alfaro parish of Latacunga, which is a city in Ecuador. The capital of Cotopaxi Province and administrative center for Homónimo Cantón, it is in the mountainous center of the country, the foothills of the Andes in Ecuador. The city is 2750 meters above sea level and has an average temperature of 12 degrees Centigrade. In the last twenty years the city has shown sustained development which has placed it among the most important cities of the equatorial mountains today. Its historical, architectural, and cultural attributes have led to Latacunga being recognized as a National Heritage City.

After the death of her mother, Ángela took over her post in the business she runs, which is selling candies and sweets at a university in the city. The business has been in operation for 17 years. Ángela wants to invest in bulk product purchases so she can get better prices from her sources and so make a larger profit. For this reason, Ángela needs a loan with which she can make this investment a reality.

This woman is a stylist by profession, however she does not practice this. In the future she would like to have her own beauty salon. She hopes that with this investment she can move closer to her dreams and aspirations.
