A loan of $350 helped to increase cash float for M-PESA (mobile-phone based money transfer service).

Nancy's story

Nancy is 23 years old, single and supporting three people. She has operated an M-PESA business (mobile-phone based money transfer service) for the last four years, earning a monthly income of 5,000 KES.

She is borrowing her first loan from KADET Ltd. of 30,000 KES. She will use the funds to increase her cash float (the minimum amount of cash to be maintained by each dealer required by the mobile money transfer service operator) for the M-PESA money transfer service. With the anticipated profit, she will employ extra staff.

Her hopes and dreams are to expand her business into a multi-billion empire.
