A loan of $650 helped a member improve a grocery store.

Nazia's Group's story

My name is Nazia S.. I am married and a mother of two: one boy and one girl. I live with my family in the mid-sized industrial city of Faisalabad, Pakistan. I stitch clothes for women of my neighborhood and my husband runs a grocery store. My husband needs a loan to improve his business. The higher profits that we hope to receive will be saved for our children's future. I would like to borrow in a group: Shalika Shrafat needs this loan to buy pesticides and fertilizers for their fields, Parween A. plans to start a grocery store and Shahnaz A. will invest her share of the loan in her husband’s auto lubricants store. All of these women are hardworking entrepreneurs and dream of a prosperous life for their families.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In this group: Nazia, Shakila, Parween, Shahnaz
