A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase manure, urea, and liquid fertilizers for use in cultivating corn, beans, and peas.

Lizardo Baudillo's story

Lizardo Baudillo is 46 years old, married, and lives with his wife and eight children in the Chillanes canton in the province of Bolívar.

The loan group Luz y Progreso [Light and Progress] is located in the San José de Guayabal area, in the Chillanes canton. This loan group is devoted to short term agricultural work; i.e. cultivating corn, beans, and peas, as well as buying and selling cattle, pigs, chicken, and guinea pigs.

Lizardo Baudillo is a farmer who cultivates corn, beans, and peas, and also raises chicken, pigs, and cattle. He buys and sells his livestock in Chillanes.

He is requesting the loan to purchase manure, urea, and liquid fertilizers for use in cultivating corn, beans, and peas, and also to purchase adequate feed for his livestock. The loan has helped him to increase his revenue to provide for his family and also to invest. His dream is to increase his corn fields, and also to be able to build a house some day. He also hopes to have greater income, as well as a better quality of life.

He likes to play volleyball, and is looking forward to the arrival of the Carnival festival.
