A loan of $1,125 helped to buy basic products of daily use to start his new grocery store.

Pedro's story

Pedro is 58 years old and lives with Cirila, who is 45 years old, with whom he has 2 sons. Together, the live in the town of Canayre, in the district of Lochegua. Pedro is a farmer. From the time he was very young, he learned this way of making a living from his parents. He currently cultivates cacao, corn, and rice on his own parcel of agricultural land, which is located in his district. His products are sold in the central market of his city. He tells us that years back he didn’t have access to transportation for his crops and that created a lot of work for him and it took a lot of time to transport his products. But now the buyers themselves come and pick up the products.

Pedro is happy and this is because with effort and dedication one can achieve what one wishes for; he wishes to have a new business, which would be a small grocery store. In the future he hopes to open a grocery store so he can have additional income. This will be his third loan with Microfinanza Prisma and he pledges to make his repayments punctually. With the PEN 3,000.00 he will buy basic products of daily use to begin his new business.
