Delia Cemira's story

Delia Cemira is 29 years old and single. She lives with her parents and her two children, ages six and two. They live in the Chillanes canton in the Bolívar province. The Luz y Progreso (Light and Progress) communal bank is located in the San José de Guayabal precinct in the Chillanes canton. This commercial bank devotes itself to growing short cycle corn and to buying and selling chickens. Delia Cemira grows corn and raises chickens. She makes her purchases and sales in Chillanes. She requested the loan to buy manure, urea, and liquid fertilizers for growing corn. She will also buy suitable feed for her animals. The loan helped her to increase the income for the family’s use and for investing. Her dream is to increase her crops and to be able to one day build a small house. She also dreams of having better income, which would give her a better quality of life. She likes spending time with her children, and she likes it when Carnival comes.
