A loan of $750 helped to buy rolls of piqué fabric.

Susana Teodosia's story

Susana is married to Julio and has three school-age children. They live in their own home in the central Pampahasi area, 20 minutes from city's center. She and her husband sew athletic wear for a living in a small workshop they set up in their own home. They make their clothes as they are ordered by different schools in the area as well as by the minibus unions, which have several groups. They make their athletic wear with piqué fabric as the main material and they also make different kinds of logos that can be silk-screened or embroidered, depending on the order. At the moment, they are asking for a loan to increase their working capital to buy rolls of piqué fabric, as this material will grow scarce at the end of the year and they want to stay ahead. Susana and her husband hope to be able to expand their sewing workshop with the purchase of an embroidery machine.
