A loan of $1,600 helped a member to buy clothes for resale.

Sungano Group's story

This is 24-year-old Debra from Harare. She is single with one child. She also cares for two dependents. Debra runs a retail business selling clothes. The business has been in operation for three years. She says the main challenge she faces is limited quantities of clothes to buy or to cross with at the border post. Debra has requested a loan of $400 to buy more clothes for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow for the upkeep of her child. In the future Debra plans to operate from a big space in town.
