Sophy, 44, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling vegetables and fruits for over six years and is successful in her career. Her husband is a construction worker. Two of her children are employed at a garment factory. Because the factory is far away from home, Sophy requests a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase a motorbike for her children to use to commute to work. In the future, she would like to build a new house and support her youngest child to study to a higher level.
