A loan of $300 helped to buy fruit, grains, and chickens wholesale.

Milena's story

Elda is 47 years old. She is a hardworking woman with a strong desire to get ahead, as well as to be happy and friendly. She is married to José, who is a topographer. They live together in their own house with their three children. Elda works as a salesperson in the buying and selling of fruit and wholesale foods, like plantains, grains, and chickens, both door-to-door and in the markets in her area. She has been doing this job for five years, sometimes paying stevedores for the shipping of her products.

She appreciates her business because she knows it well and is used to getting up early to make her purchases. With the earnings she can help her husband with household expenses and give him some things he likes. Right now, seeing the money she is making, she has plans to invest in another business, a small shop in her house where her grown children would help her.

This will be her first loan with the MFP institution. She is happy to have this financial support to be able to achieve her goals. With the requested amount of 800 nuevos soles, she will buy wholesale merchandise so that she can get better profits.
