A loan of $550 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Esmeralda's story

Esmeralda, 57, is a single mother living in Santa Cruz de Yojoa with her father and a 17-year-old son. She is a very hard working woman who earns her livelihood selling clothes like blouses, pants, skirts and swimsuits. She also sells items for the home like plastic ware and pewter pots. She’s been in this business for nine years and it generates household income.

To maintain her store well-stocked, she has asked ODEF for a loan, her fifth one, to stock the store with more blouses, pants, skirts and curtains taking advantages of the high sales season. She feels motivated to continue working to improve her economic level and support her family.
