A loan of $2,900 helped a member to buy milk for resale.

Primavera Group's story

The communal bank "Primavera" ("Spring") is in its second year of the program of communal banks of female entrepreneurs, and it is composed of 21 women. The goal of the entrepreneurs is teamwork, fostering the spirit of solidarity, and maintaining group unity in order to reach the highest level. Many women were able to create or improve their business, thanks to the opportunity provided and through trust.

One of the members is Cynthia, who tells us that she works every day beginning very early in the morning. She sells milk, and she tells us that the business is going well because she already has many customers, which brings her a good income. Her dream is to be able to have a big business where she can offer the milk that she sells.

She requests help from Kiva and from the Foundation to buy milk, stock up, and, in doing so, meet the needs of her customers.
