A loan of $575 helped to buy coffee seeds and manure.

Jesus's story

Jesús, 31, lives with Milka, 28, and they have two children: Max and Yegner that they live with in their own house located in the settlement of Chuvivana in Sivia District. Jesús is a farmer and has been growing coffee for over ten years. His farmland is located in a district 30 minutes from home. He works there with much dedication and devotion in company of his wife.

However, he comments that he failed as a street vendor due to a traffic accident where he lost all his merchandise. Since then, he found himself in need of finding a different business that didn’t require much investment. The only thing he had was his piece of land so he works hard from dawn to dusk and gradually has attained economic stability. Jesús is happy with his production and in the future would like to go to the city to start a new business.

This is his first MFP loan and he commits to make his installment payments punctually. He will use the 1500 new soles to invest in the expansion of his coffee crops. He will therefore buy seeds and manure.
